and a mad week begins as another ends.

Standard

I wasn’t like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere’s a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who’s a hero. The music he’s created over the years, I don’t really listen to it, but the fact that he’s making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I’m selling? No. Do I know what I’m doing today? No. But I’m here, and I’m gonna give it my best shot.

I’m here… on a wild ride. Just have that quote in my head (Zoolander, how can you not love it?!) and am cracking up at it’s appropriateness for me right now.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! I invented the piano key necktie, I invented it! What have you done, Derek? You’ve done nothing! NOTHIIIING! And I will be a monkey’s uncle if I let you ruin this for me.

I’m off to obey my dog. I will return with something coherent, not frenzy induced as soon as I can. I just really wanted to post a bit of Zoolander love on the blog tonight, as it’s what I’m using as my background noise…

  1. That is one of my all time favorite movies…it’s hilarious!! My teenager often uses lines from this movie, especially when he has to mow the lawn (“I think I’ve caught the black lung pop…cough…cough”) Toooooo funny!

  2. Thanks for the Zoolander post, it gave me a good chuckle this morning. It took me a long time before I watched it thinking it was going to be “stupid”… it was but in a really funny way.
